The Wood ‘n’ Potter started to take form twenty years ago. Bob Campbell always had an interest in woodworking. From the time he was a boy, Bob worked in his father’s furniture shop. Later he made furniture for his own home. Several years ago, his love of wood and nature was a natural transition to woodturning.
Today, Bob makes a variety of turned art using wood from local sources. Similar to fine furniture, each piece is finished with several coats of hand-rubbed shellac and natural varnish and then polished with high-quality wax.
At the same time Bob began turning, Barbara expanded her pottery making of ten years to a more serious art. Along with thrown pieces, her focus was to create hand-built pottery. Many pieces are one-of-a-kind.
Together, Bob and Barbara began the Wood ‘n’ Potter, sometimes even collaborating on pieces like pottery vessels with wooden lids.
