The Wood ‘n’ Potter makes hand crafted wood and pottery art at reasonable prices.

Bingham Juried Art Show - March 16, 2025

The Wood ‘n’ Potter is proud to announce that Bob Campbell took second prize for his Arts & Crafts style lamp. With about 100 artists competing in a variety of mediums, Bob took the prize money for second place. Barbara created the base for the lamp and Bob used recycled 100-year old oak to construct the structural pieces and lamp shade. Mica from Asheville Mica Company completes the shade.

Welcome to The Wood ‘n’ Potter

Together, Bob and Barbara began The Wood ‘n’ Potter in 2005. Inspired by nature, today they create pottery and wood gifts using local wood and clay mined from North Carolina.

Bob always had an interest in woodworking. From the time he was a boy, he worked in his father’s furniture shop. Later he made furniture for his own home. In retirement, he turned to the lathe and taught himself the skills of wood turning.

At the same time Bob began turning, Barbara expanded her pottery making of fifteen years to a more serious art. Along with thrown pieces, her focus was to create hand-built pottery.

Barbara and Bob are artist members of the Yadkin Arts Council: www.yadkinarts.org
